Miss Universe Iraq Returns to the 74th Miss Universe Competition

The Miss Universe Organization is proud to announce that Iraq will once again take part in the 74th. edition of the Miss Universe competition, celebrating the country’s rich heritage, diverse cultures, and the empowerment of Iraqi women on a global stage.

Under the leadership of Mr. Ghaith Al-Mousawy, the newly appointed National Director of Miss Universe Iraq, the Organization is committed to fostering a platform that uplifts and inspires women across Iraq and beyond. The return of Iraq to Miss Universe is not just about competition—it is a powerful statement of strength, resilience, and the beauty of diversity.

Mr. Al-Mousawy was inspired to bring Iraq back to Miss Universe by the belief that representation matters. By showcasing Iraqi women on an international stage, Miss Universe Iraq aims to empower future generations of women and girls, encouraging them to embrace
their ambitions and break barriers. This initiative seeks to highlight Iraq’s cultural richness and modern identity, demonstrating that Iraqi women are leaders, role models, and symbols
of progress.

The Miss Universe Organization and Miss Universe Iraq are dedicated to celebrating the intelligence, leadership, and elegance of women while reinforcing the values of inclusivity and

female empowerment. As Iraq prepares to crown its representative, the world will witness the spirit and ambition of Iraqi women as she competes on the most prestigious stage in the world.
