The Miss Universe Organization—owner of the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA trademarks, logos, and related intellectual property—would like to confirm the official state directors designated to oversee Miss USA and Miss Teen USA within the following states. To ensure organization and transparency in the administration of pageants within the United States, the Miss USA Organization appoints official state directors for each state. Accordingly, the designated state directors are:
- New Mexico State Director: Laura Rayborn
- Texas State Director: Will Henderson
Each State Director holds exclusive authority over their designated state(s) and serves as the sole representative for all matters related to Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and the associated trademarks, intellectual property, contestant recruitment, event coordination, and sponsorships.
To ensure transparency, we wish to clarify that a state director’s role does not extend beyond their officially designated state. Any recruitment or pageant-related activities conducted outside of an official director’s assigned jurisdiction—including those in El Paso, Texas—are independent and unaffiliated with Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, Miss Texas USA, or Miss Texas Teen USA. Additionally, such activities are not associated with the Miss Universe Organization and do not lead to competition at Miss USA or Miss Teen USA.
We strongly encourage all prospective contestants, sponsors, and partners to engage directly with the officially authorized State Directors for their respective states to ensure proper participation in the official Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions.
For further inquiries, please contact the Miss USA Organization or the official State Director for your state.
