Airing in over 125 different countries and seen by hundreds of millions
of viewers over the years, MISS UNIVERSE®, MISS USA® and
MISS TEEN USA® competitions have become fixtures of pop culture
throughout the world. Still an obtainable dream for young women
50 years after its initial introduction, the pageants feature young
women who are savvy, goal-oriented and aware. The delegates, who
become part of the Miss Universe Organization, display these impressive
characteristics in their everyday lives. All of the talented and
inspiring young women compete with the hope of advancing their careers
as well as personal and humanitarian goals, including improving
the lives of other women around the world.
"We are proud and excited to be associated with these outstanding
annual events,” said Kennedy. “The shows have reflected
the missions and goals of women worldwide for years, and now, more
than ever, these three cutting-edge productions do a tremendous
job in representing the women who are part of them.”
The Miss Universe Organization, producers of the pageants, is a
Donald J. Trump and NBC partnership. The MISS USA® telecast
always kicks off the new year as the first special and is generally
held in February. The MISS UNIVERSE® telecast is in May and
is followed by MISS TEEN USA®, which takes place during back-to-school
season in late summer. The National Broadcasting Company, Inc. (NBC)
broadcasts all three events as live, prime time specials in the
U.S.
