HERALD SUN- THE winner of Miss Universe Australia is Caris Tivel from Western Australia.
The contestants were judged throughout the night on swimwear, evening wear and answering a series of questions at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne.
The final five Rose McEvoy from NSW, Elise Chambellant and Jasmine Stringer from QLD, Marijana Radmanovic from Victoria and Caris Tivel from WA.
Sari Nakazawa will be heading to the 2016 MISS UNIVERSE Competition to represent her country, Japan.
Sari loves playing volleyball, piano, having tea parties, and arranging flowers. She’s even had experience doing rhythmic gymnastics for 4 years!
One of Sari’s favorite sayings is, “?????” which translates to “Where there is will, there is a way.”

She was among 15 women selected to make it through to this year’s finals.
Thirty-four shortlisted contestants were at yesterday’s audition, held at the Singapore Press Holdings’ auditorium, for the chance to make it to the finals.
Miss Gill, 25, a full-time model, has had plenty of experience in beauty pageants and even appeared on Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 2 in 2014.
ESSENCE- Deshauna Barber might be Miss USA, but the DC native isn’t letting the crown go to her head. The Army Reservist-cum-model got back into fatigues for training this weekend.
“As an Army Reservist, I am required train with my unit 2 days a month and I am so happy to still do that as your #MissUSA,” she posted on Instagram.
Barber has been sharing her experiences on the official Miss USA Instagram, showing fans that she hasn’t given up her duty to her country. She does maintenance and service checks on Humvees, shows off her fatigues, and on her personal account, shares her morning motivation. “When Duty Calls,” she captioned one photo.
