Hannah Brewer is a junior who is homeschooled with a 4.0 GPA. Hannah was born and raised in Carroll County, Maryland and currently resides in Manchester.

Hannah works in the community with several different organizations. One organization is the American Heart Association. Her aunt died suddenly at the age of 54 of a heart attack and several other family members have been affected by cardiovascular disease as well. She is a National Spokesperson for the American Heart Association, an advocate for the “Go Red for Women” campaign, a member of the Baltimore Passion committee, and the Baltimore AHA Advocacy committee. She lobbied the Maryland Senate for Bill 564, which would enforce at least 30 minutes of Physical Education in public schools daily. She has met with U.S. Maryland Senators to promote causes for the American Heart Association. Hannah has also met with the Maryland State Department of Education to promote a 12 step screening process for all high school athletes.

Another passion of Hannah’s is supporting the military. She helps organizations such as Operation Welcome Home Maryland, Operation Homefront, Team Red, White, and Blue, The USO, and Honor Flights. Hannah makes fleece blankets and cards for the soldiers returning home from their tour of duty. She has planned a princess tea party for the spring of 2013 for little girls who have families in the military. At this time, Hannah is in the process of starting her own non-profit (501C3) which will be called, “Hannah’s Heroes”, to benefit our military and their families.

Hannah loves to sing. She was a top-5 finalist in Disney’s American Idol Experience. She also performs the National Anthem at many events for local, state, and national organizations. She loves to visit nursing homes and hospitals to sing for the residents. Hannah believes it’s important to stay heart healthy so she takes crossfit (RXFit) classes at her local gym. Hannah hopes to attend college and become a news broadcaster and eventually a news anchor on a major television affiliate. But she also hopes to continue to run her non-profit with success.
