David Perozzi is an award-winning journalist with 20 years of media experience. He has reported breaking news, social issues, celebrities, health care stories and politics. David built his stellar career as a TV Journalist at ABC News and NBC News. He has produced for “World News Tonight” anchor Diane Sawyer, “Nightline” anchor Cynthia McFadden and a host of other ABC correspondents. He also worked with NBC “Today Show” anchor Al Roker and CNN's Anderson Cooper.
David is four-time Emmy nominated producer and senior producer for his continuous coverage of 911, an organ donor story, a story about a fraudulent church minister and for Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show. He has won five Cine-Golden Eagle Awards for his coverage on domestic sex trafficking; two reports on the failing foster care system; a story about a woman’s husband who was poisoning her; a teenager held captive by her family as a slave; and his interview with legendary superstar Cher. He has also won numerous other journalism awards including a Gracie Allen and an American Legion Heart of America Award.
His celebrity reporting includes exclusive interviews with Madonna, Amy Grant, The Dixie Chicks, Cher, Carly Simon, Tony Bennett, Celine Dion. R. Kelly and Russell Crowe, to name a few.
In 2008, he senior produced a CNBC-TV energy program, “Powering The Planet,” where he managed a team of producers reporting on alternative power and green issues. From 2010 – 2013, he was a Senior Producer for “Anderson Live.” Earlier this year, he was critical in launching a new music news program for Madison Square Garden, called “Fuse News” where he currently is a Supervising Producer. “Fuse News” can be seen in over 64 million homes.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Journalism & Communications from Point Park University. He also earned a Master's of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University. With his hard work-ethic, enthusiasm and endless curiosity, David has emerged as one of the leading broadcast executives in the business.
