Alyssa Klinzing is excited about her future and plans to redeem her pageant scholarship to attend Lindenwood University, majoring in biology, and hopes to one day promote respect and conservation of all marine life. Alyssa is excited to begin her journey and is enjoying every second representing the great state of Kansas!
Her family is very important to her and she feels they’re a great support system, including her stepparents. Alyssa attends Olathe North High School and she is part of their 21st Century program focusing in the area of Geoscience. She was recently crowned Homecoming Princess representing the class of 2016.
After ten years as a Girl Scout, she remains active through volunteering and mentoring younger girls. After earning her Silver Sward in 2012, she set her sites high and is working to achieve the highest honor in Girl Scouts, the Gold Award.
She has worked on behalf of children participating in CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, has partnered with Kansas City Fashion Week to raise funds for CureSearch, and was the Grand Marshall in the Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Studios in Orlando. She has volunteered for Angel Babies, numerous children’s events and has even made special school appearances. She was even a celebrity model in the Natalie M Foundation fashion show that benefited schools in need of funding for supplies and activities.
